An e-mail from Foster Panza containing a couple of pictures from "Red Shirt Day" on July 29,2022. We had 24 people competing today. All but one showed up with a red shirt/hat. He is mostly hidden in the back row. While he could not play today he showed up to collect prize money and take attendance.
The second picture shows best friends Howard Pope and Sam Stecker.
Foster, thanks for taking the pictures and forwarding them.
Next is Ed Ryan giving me a "Mini megaphone---with siren" to help get the attention of the members. Ed read a letter from Hose at BGA headquarters in Grand Cayman. Apparently Ed and Hose had had a conversation about the happenings in our club. I'll try to paraphrase some of the letter. It starts off, Dear Ed. He enjoyed their discussion concerning the status of the Citrus Hills Chapter and stated he was troubled to hear about an issue with our club. He went on to say that he wanted to take the opportunity to send, under separate cover a solution that will assist the Honorable William Pace in carrying out his duties. He then extended his wishes to all members and asked God to bless our veterans and those who gave their lives defending our great country. He went on to ask Ed to say hello to Commissioner Emeritus Jim Remler.
Ed proceeded to open the box and after some amount of fumbling was able to operate the megaphone.
We tried out the megaphone both before and after golf. While the gift is certainly appreciated it is not loud enough to get this groups attention. The thought is appreciated. Per, Commissioner W. A. Pace.
